The Lake Bluff Garden Club is refurbishing the Blue Star Memorial Garden in front of the train station as part of the village’s USA 250th observations.

Blue Star Memorials were started by the Garden Clubs of America to honor all who serve or have served in the armed forces.

On May 9, the Club will replant the garden around the Blue Star Marker with native forbs and grasses. These plants were chosen for their beauty and the ecosystem benefits they provide.

A big thank you to Public Works for their assistance in removing the old shrubs and preparing the bed!
